I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited this past December, when we moved to Bville. So many of the tribs that I used to drive an hour+ to get to are now within less than 10 minutes - but kudos to you for making the drive, since most people wouldn't have the balls. The fall is the best time of year, though... My forays tend to run a little longer, due to my driving time. I'm waaay east along the St.Lawrence. I've been fishing upper NY East side some this year for the first time, it's closer for me and I've been very surprised and succesful so far. My trips to your area tend to fall in the ice - out time frame, when the fish are still somewhat lethargic due to the cold water. Although I've been going for years I've never been down there for opener or after once it warms. Looks like I may be missing some of the best days !
